Fact: the best AA program in western PA is Aliquippa.
Quippa has been PIAA runner-ups twice (in 1988 in class AAA and in 2000 in AA) and PIAA AA champs twice (1991 and 2003).
However, Tyrone has built a reputation as ONE OF the best AA programs in western PA. If they win the PIAA title this year, it would give Tyrone 2 PIAA championships and 1 runner-up, which puts them on par with Quippa.
Franco is one of the best around. Heck, Shorty, you probably actually sit in the stands and criticize him! I actually heard some Tyrone yahoos yelling at Franco last night. Unbelievable. You should be renaming the freakin' Grazierville Bridge after the man!!! Shame on those who criticize that masterful coach.
