Choose another simile, Count. It's 11,233 licks.

Pride, I thought he was going all the way, but the kid said he ran out of gas. Lame excuse, especially after halftime, though I know he and the rest of the secondary got tired of chasing Kleinfelter and those fast Bellwood receivers. I used to think he had pretty good speed, but genes don't lie. Put him in the line.

Somehow, this has happened every year the past few years as far as Ridge goes. They start off strong with a 6-0 record, then somehow, as the playoffs near and they are playing for a home game in the first week, they find a way to lose 2 of the last 3. Is it complacency? Is it lack of discipline? Or is it lack of conditioning as the kids start to wear down towards the end of the season? How does this happen each and every year? If Ridge wants to go far in the playoffs, they must win the games that matter, and they must find a way to avoid going 7-2 after a 6-0 start. Until then, they'll just be another one and done team as far as the playoffs go.

I don't think it has anything to do with being conditioned or anything like that it's who they're playing in those last 3 games.

I was at the Tyrone Bellwood game this year longball. Tyrone exploited Bellwood through the air and that how a majority of thier scores came. That and forcing turnovers.

flea, jungle is right, ridge will always finish 8-1 or 7-2, the only reason they are losing their last 1/3 of the season is because thats when they schedule the best teams in the conference. they play cupcakes up to week 6-7 then they schedule bellwood and get beaten. not only does it weaken their standings for playoffs but also their spirits....who wants to go 6-0 down the homestretch towards playoffs only to lose at your home turf at the end of the regular season? my advice? schedule bellwood as your season opener...sure youll start off 0-1 but at least youll be on a 7-8 game win streak headed into playoffs

hasn't Tyrone been exploiting most teams through the air? overall, aren't most high school defenses set up to stop the run and are typically vulnerable through the air? and, if I have a lead, I really don't care how many yards you get, as long as I keep the lead and win the game....isn't that usually the bottom line? guess I hear too many criticisms and excuses on here, and not enough compliments....

Still a very nice runback, and it gave the Lions the spark they needed to get that 2nd half going.

I was just joking about the speed, because it was apparent that he ran out of gas as he neared the 20. I didn't see who it was that caught him, but that kid was burning down the field. I too thought he was going all the way until I saw that Bellwood kid making up ground.

they need to take out either Mike T. or Nick H. because neither can tackle and Mike will make a play here or there but i think Josh U. needs to be in there. He was a starter last year and this year he doesnt even play??????? Whats up with that Wilkins?? There needs to be some changes. Max needs to start looking for someone else other than Sasha and Mike on offense. He has Lee O. and Jordan D. and Josh U. wide open almost every passing play and he doesnt even look at them. Wilkens needs to quit babying him and let him no who the boss is.

Just terriable quaterbacking. You need to get speed on the ball. for god sakes, you cant just throw the ball up in the air and expect it to be caught. Look at the facts, you dont have four 6ft 4in recievers, so dont go throwing lob passes all game. Playing like that is just asking for turnovers.

What did happen to josh utz, thought he would q.b. this year. Wasnt he back up for brian last year?

Different song.
Same beat for Ridge.

Flat out can't get it done against good teams.
Maybe you should opt out of the playoffs and keep that week 10 matchup with Tussey Mt. It will be the only way the Lions ever get a week 10 victory.
And the last thing I must tell you...NEVER QUIT!
