Re: McLaurin Donezo at Westmont
Gimme some examples on how darin mclaurin does not know football? I want EXAMPLES real examples not any of this bull crap about some one not playing. Im pretty sure you don't know anything. You know what im not gonna lie im an outsider looking in with friends that are involved. Do i know everyone being named here? Yes i do and I have reliable sources close to this, so before you go out saying that you know everything, look at my posts prior to this its evident that i know what im talking about. Your just pissed because im not on the side of the parents, im here defending a good coach in my mind. Aagin let the players play and the coaches coach.

High school football is just great for character building.
Just look at all the fine characters it's produced on this site.

All I'm asking is to sit near Gil at the next game and see for yourself. He will probably be on his best behavior now.

i've done some clean up here... knock off the childish stuff like calling each other homosexuals and swearing or this thread will be locked.
Character cannot be developed in ease and quiet. Only through experience of trial and suffering can the soul be strengthened, ambition inspired, and success achieved.

Gil and the Roberts guy are an embarrassment to Westmonts athletic programs. Is it too much to ask that adults be good role models. And as far as sitting next to either of them is concerned...been there and done that and had to move by the end of the first half. Talk about immature and childish behavior. The administration at WHS needs to get control of these two. And as a coach in the district and a taxpayer, if either of them attend one of my teams games and act that way, I'll personally address their behavior. I won't have either of them embarass my kids or my employer.

WHHS Football parents,
You all need to take a good and long look in the mirror and ask yourself this simple question: am I REALLY doing what is in the best interest of the kids? In my personal opinion, you aren't at all. Look at the lesson that you are teaching them... If you don't get to play, mommy and daddy will do whatever it takes to get you to play. That isn't how teams are supposed to be run. They only have rules like that in Little League Baseball. I would love to see a coaches reaction if you tried to pull this kind of stunt at the collegiate level. They would laugh in your face, then probably kick your son off of the team. I played for Fetzer and McLaurin and agree with The Graduate about the fact that they were good coaches. It was an absolute shame that Fetzer got run-out of Westmont the way that he did... all because their son wasn't good enough to play. What are you going to do when your son gets into college and has a tough professor? Mommy and daddy can't really do too much to help them there! Better yet, what are you parents going to do when they get into the real world and have a job and they have a tough boss? Exactly... nothing. You are setting your kids up for failure and they are now dependant on you way more than they should be at this stage in their lives.
The kids that you are getting these coaches fired for need to learn the value of hard work by busting their **** on and off of the field to EARN a starting spot. I, as well as all of my teammates throughout the years, did not leave everything that we had on the field so you can play these politics and ruin everything that we worked for. You have single handedly ruined a program that was deep in tradition and have made fools of yourselves. So, congratulations! And the best of luck to your kids in the future... they're definitely going to need it.

WestyGrad02, I've got a couple questions for you, you ignorant bafoon!
1. How much money do you make per year? Six digits? I didn't think so...
2. Since when does my tax money not guarantee me a say in who coaches my boy's team?
3. Losing is unacceptable. If we were winning and my son didn't play that would be one thing. But neither is happening so something has got to give.

Re: McLaurin Donezo at Westmont
Money was just brought into this topic. bringing up money is so irrevelant. way to give westmont even worse of a name. losing is unacceptable i dont disagree with you there, but parents intervening to make it an uncomfortable situation for the coaches and the kids is. i think that is part of the reason why wetsmont went on that losing streak that they did.
