=)) Sure lets lie to the kid and tell him he has a chance, so he sticks around and never gets to play, that makes sense. Good try Mold, but no one is buying it. Not ONCE in the article does it say he was asked to leave! One day that will sink in, but with you it may take awhile. Happy trolling!!!!

We may not be the best attorneys in the world but we are sure as heck a lot better than you are a prosecutor. You accuse B'OB of asking or encouraging a player to leave.
El-Moldo wrote:I'm not playin' both sides of the fence. Bolden WANTED to leave. That was public knowledge. Bench was ASKED to reconsider his future at PSU and was ENCOURAGED to leave. Two different things.
So after a week of searching for "evidence" you dig up an article that says nothing more than BO'B told the player where he stood on the team, which led the kid to "wanting to transfer to a FBS school" and in which Penn State "let the kid out of his scholarship." The article also goes on to quote the kid's father as saying "they made the kid from South Georgia feel right at home, feel wanted"
El-Moldo wrote:Did you read the article I mentioned? It's self-explanatory concerning Bench being "coaxed into leaving". The evidence is there. Read it again.
Yes, read it once (that's all it takes me to comprehend what I read.) It doesn't indicate this at all.
El-Moldo wrote: BO'B told the kid that there was NO use in him hanging around anymore. And then when Bench finally decided to move on.
Does not say this anywhere...this is that voice you hear in your head when you mom forgets to give you your medicine.

Let me explain something to you in a way that maybe (not likely) you will understand it. Let's say I'm at work and led a project team. The project is a little behind schedule and has some issues. The boss comes up to me and says "ABPK2903, you're performance isn't where we expected it, so we decided to make Crimson the project leader." I ask my boss "well, I know I'll make a little less money but is there a way you would let me out of this project and lead a smaller project in a different department. I just really enjoy being the project leader?" My boss agrees and it works out best for everyone. I have no resentment towards my boss and he wishes me the best. No where in this situation was I asked or encouraged to leave and honestly led to the best result of a underperforming situation.

Times are getting tough for you around here moldy. First, coach asked us to not troll the board. Then, someone actually asked you to prove something you claim. And now finally, someone has you so pissed in another thread that you are resorting to only responding to their grammar. What's next?

This has been an amusing extended read. Don't care either way, I am an equal opportunity rooter for Pitt and PSU. "Abpk2903, your performance isn't where we expected it, so we decided to make CRIMSON the project leader."......I have no resentment towards my boss.......Nowhere in this situation was I asked or encouraged to leave". I have to ask- What fantasy world do or did you work in? Everyone goes through 'performance evaluations'. If you get good reviews, you might get a raise. If your reviews are average, you get to continue doing your job with your boss hoping you do better, because then overall performances of employees affects his bonus. If your reviews are left wanting, depending on the job, you may be lucky enough to keep the job, but you BETTER improve or you're gone. It's a dog eat dog world, and whoever is in charge, in this case your boss, he holds your future in his hands. It's up to you to justify his keeping you on, unless you are a teacher with tenure, or a liberal Congressman. If B'OB wasn't doing his job, in the eyes of the AD/ admin., they would replace him with a better-qualified candidate. It happens all the time, in any sport, in any vocation. It's called 'what have you done for me lately?'
It ain't over until it's over.

Someone once told me that I would make a great judge. Therefore I am tossing this case on the grounds that it has no legal merit, and the argument is manifestly insufficient and futile. CASE DISMISSED! <gavel>

Hold your horses judge. Of course BO'B never outright told Bench to leave. But the circumstantial IS overwhelming that he did. And, in a court of law, circumstantial evidence properly presented to a jury, is indeed enough to prove the guilt of one party. BO'B got rid of Bench, and then told everyone that Bench transferred on his own accord, without provocation. BO'B's attempt to look like the victim just didn't work.

Show me the post. BO'B never said, "You are off the team". But BO'B painted a black enough picture for Bench. BO'B DID, however, tell everyone that Bench was transferring, and he wished him the best of luck in his future endeavors.

According to BWI today, BO'B is crying again. He thinks it's unfair that teams, that do not make it to bowl games, aren't allowed to keep practicing after the regular season is over, like the bowl participants do. Boo Hoo!!! He's like Obama. He wants the rules changed to suit him.
