Bedford won the regular season at 19-1. Since they are hosting, they don't have to play the playoffs. Playoff seeding goes as follows, #1 Claysburg vs. #4 Somerset; #2 St. Michael vs #3 Lilly. Should be two good series'.

All games start at 5:30. I'm assuming that means they are now 9 innings? Or is that just for the final between the two winners. Games are on consecutive nights. That means teams w/o a lot of pitching, already, are going to be even more taxed.

They start at 5:30 and they are just 7 inning games. The 5:30 start is for 30 minutes of extra daylight in case the games run late. The winners of the 2 three game series will play one nine inning game to determine the champion.

It looks like the championship will be a three game series as reported in today Tribune . In years past I believe it was one 9 inning game to determine the champ.

Also, you don't have to be bright to figure out that eyeofthestorm12 is a Bedford front runner fan. Bedford (Hurricanes) eye of the storm, Really! Oh and Patrick Dempsey the Lawn boy bought his way into the cool clique. I guess in baseball, teams can't buy their way into the playoff.

Actually, you're wrong. I am a Miami fan, hence the name. Back in to the area as of last summer. Family is from Windber and I played for Richland legion a few years ago. I just reported the seeds like my buddy told me since nobody else did. So maybe ask before you assume.

All the playoff games are seven innings, start at 5:30 to ensure there's not a suspended game in case of extra innings.
Championship was one nine-inning game when there were three rounds of playoffs and both teams participating would advance. With fewer teams in league and Bedford in automatically as regional host, two rounds of best-of-three to decide one team to advance was agreed upon.

I'm going to go with Claysburg over Somerset in 3 and St. Michael over Lilly in 2. I don't think Lilly is as good as their record says. Then I will go with Claysburg over St. Michael in a close game.
