You're right PortagePride... it seems that the general goal at United in all sports is to strive for mediocrity! Minus Girls track as Crimson lion mentioned a few weeks back... oh and btw HC's QB moved from United 2 years ago...

Berlin's offense has struggled all year without Booth and they have been turnover prone. Cahill should be back next week vs westinghouse.

United hasn't been above .500 I dont think since the 2010 Heritage Championship Team, finishing the regular season is a huge deal for them in their rebuilding process.
The QB at Homer City is Jesse Beacker he transferred from United last year. United would likely be a one loss team with him at the helm. Very good athlete, Saltsburg's QB/RB/TE Frankie Plowman is also a United transfer.

I consider it a big win for a program like United, who is trying to get back on track like they used to be....from 2012-14 they were 1-29...getting blown out every week....they won 4 games last year but didn't have any signature wins...now they went to Shade against a decent team...on the road, against an unfamliar opponent and down 22-18 in he 4th quarter only to come back and win...to me, that's a big win for a program trying to get back on the map....it might not be a big win for you PortagePride, but to me I think it's a quality win...

I mean I get it, a win is a win especially for a rebuilding program. However they were 4 - 6 last year and now 5 - 5 this year, so now we're calling a win against a 4 - 6 team a Big and Signature win? Personally I would have loftier goals and expectations designating those types of wins I guess. Good for United though and congrats on getting back into the playoffs.
Re: Scores Post Em....
Uniteds girl track stand out Ryleigh Ludwig is a Ligonier Valley transfer....Beacker to HC, Ludwig to United...it happens everywhere...I don't think United would be a one loss team if Beacker were still there...maybe 6-4...maybe
Re: Scores Post Em....
I agree with that DCor about the transfers...and there have been alot more that headed to United over the past 5-6 years.

Dude just admit it that Shade is a bad team and all the hype the weak Portage played them is because , well it's the WestpacPortagePride wrote:I mean I get it, a win is a win especially for a rebuilding program.
