Ridge came out to an early lead 5-0 and when Everett brought it to within a run, Ridge added two more. In the bottom of the 6th, Sean Foor hit a grand slam to give Everett the 9-7 lead. But Ridge came back in the top of the 7th with a two out rally.
Adam Miller had to go the whole game because of Everett's lack of depth on the mound, but he looked strong for the full 7. With two down, the Ridge batter hit a little bloop to the left side of the infield. It was a little pop up about ten feet off the ground and a couple of feet in on the grass, with some heavy back spin. SS David Felton came in on it with some uncertainty. The ball got just under the tip of his glove and the batter reached safely. Had Felton committed himself to it, he likely could have snagged it out of the air. Or if he had stayed back, he likely could have took it off the hop and thrown the runner out, either way ending the game.
The next batter reached base when a ground ball came up on Felton and bounced off of him, skipping into the outfield. Tyler Hershberger made Everett pay for the miscues with a hit to left field that scored a pair and then continued to add two more.
Hershberger, who started the game for Ridge, returned to the mound to pitch the 7th. One man reach base but was erased when Andrew Crawford hit into a double play.

the everett game i think everyone on the ridge team had at least 1 hit know the top 4 batters had 2 at least. ridge has really one problem and that is lack of pitching. pitching is really 80% of the game. i have to give it to adam miller tho he really did throw pretty consistent the whole game.
