Usually when u here about teams getting better through the season the Forest Hills Ranger Football team usually comes to mind. But now the Forest Hills Baseball team I think is in that catgory now to. Although the rangers are in second place right now they are coming on very strong. From what I have seen I think they should have only lost two games. The games against Central Cambria and Mount Union were a big let down in the season losing by alot both games because of non hitting and seniors not leading the way...

Now we fast forward to the end of the season and everyone is getting ready for the playoffs..Forest Hills played central cambria yesterday and lost to them the first time with a score of like 12-3 or soemthing like that and they come back to beat them 18-5 now i dont know about u but wow is all I can say...

This Forest Hills team has got its swagger back from when they had it in the beginning of the season when they started 5 or 6 an 0 it is really fun to go and watch them play to hear the leadership in the dugouts and all the players cheering on one another.. I dont know what Joe Carpenter did to these kids but he has them playing as well as any other team he has ever had and right in time for the playoffs

Falcon- Quite a complimentary write-up. The boys appreciate it. BTW- tonight it was FH 11, Central( over there) 1 in 5 innings. Mehall was sharp after the first inning, aided by a DP with bases juiced and no outs, to get out of the inning with only 1 run scored.

FH is playing well heading into the playoffs, which is good because they are going to have their work cut out for them in the AAA bracket. If they play like they did against Central they should make a good showing.

Hats off to the Richland Squad this year. They won some tough outtings and came out heads above the rest in the league. Good job boys and rep the LHAC well in the AA playoffs.

Good Luck too all teams in the playoffs next week :)
And the last thing I must tell you...NEVER QUIT!

Lewistown's record was 11-8 after falling to Bellefonte Wed. night. How tough is 6 AAA. If you ask me, the PIAA did us a favor kicking us up a grade.

Captain Dean: Now that the LHAC season is over, Bedford should sail through D5 AA, shouldn't they? Are you with Bedford Legion this summer? Let me know if so, and if so, when you play The Saints. Good luck, man.

I believe deano is in legion this year, and yes, Bedford SHOULD romp right through D-5...

FH downs Laurel Valley 9-2 in a makeup of an earlier rainout. I believe that makes the Rangers 15-4-and 1 tie with Bedford, which I heard was to be resumed, this Thursday afternoon, to be followed by a "scrimmage" game as a playoff prep.

Captain Dean: Do you have any confirmation of this?

Also a request: Where in Lewistown exactly is the ballfield? Directions, please? How about from the Walmart in on Rt. 22 or from the Electric Ave. exit off 322? Thanks.
