Re: NBC Invitational
I really can't see the NBC Invite ever being close to the WCC. For one, it's on a Thursday night. From just how far away do you think schools will travel to run an invitational on a school night? Secondly, it's at Northern Bedford, which is not an easy bus trip. The big attraction for local schools is that it is where districts will be held. It may grow to be something along the lines of the Bedford Invite (10-15 teams), but not much more than that.
Duece, where have you heard that they are thinking of changing the 4 event maximum? I can't see them that changing, and even if they did, it would be insane. Four events is more than enough for a high school athlete. Just because some athletes can do it, doesn't mean they should.

Re: NBC Invitational
yeah i agree there pep cuz at least if you distance you sometimes have the 800m then the 3200m right after!!!
so maybe not 3 events limit but spreading the events out diferently!
but i'm out of high school so i don't worry about it too much!!!
lol

Re: NBC Invitational
Most of the time as a distance person, I ran 2 events, though at times I ran 3 (4x800, 1600, 3200 or 800). The 3 event days were the tough ones, and the two event ones were still kinda tough. I was grateful that as a senior I only had to worry about the 3200, though I would have gladly ran the 1600 too to help my team.

Eh, Gunner, even doing 4 sprinting events can be tough. For example, say someone does the 100, 200, 400, and 4x100. There are three events there that are in the span of five events. That can't be easy. And then there's the situation that my coach put me in several times: 400, 4x100, 800, 4x400 or 400, 800, 200, 4x400. And then there's my personal favorite from districts last year that I had to run: 4x800, 1600, 4x100, 4x400. Gotta love being the relay specialist
Re: NBC Invitational
yeah chick i seen you all over the track last year almost never in the same events each meet and at districts it was no exeption!
but if you run distance like i did it's hard if you run every one hard and very competitive say the 4x800 relay, then the 1600m (my race), then the 800m, and right afterthe 3200 or 4x400!
well a 53.3 400m after running a 2mile and not being a full time sprinter is pretty competitive!
but to each his own i would rather run the shorter races if i was as good! but watever!
anytime you have 4 events it's much more demanding!!!
