"If Public School A can beat a Private school, than public school B,C, and so on and so forth can do it. It makes it possible."
That is the thing you always come back to, Crimson?!?! Something making something possible so it makes it right?
I take it they didn't offer valid argument/sound reasoning courses at McCort?
Back in the day, I knew an African-American who escaped segregation and became a college professor. He did it so why couldn't African-American A, B, and so on. It makes it possible.

well i know they cut the funding for that course in your public school cause ya aint got nothin my friend.

Private school wins and does well in sport= kids transfer in that happen to play that sport
Public school wins and it does not matter no influx of transfers occurs.
No advantage? Come on

honestly, when it comes down to it, the kid makes the final say in a transfer. u can come up with all the bs about how this school recruits or whatnot, but its all up to the kid. and if you really want to get technical, if your complaining about how public schools dont win, then maybe get a better coach or get the kids to work harder. games come down to the kids and their determination, not "recruits" or "ranked" players. how do u think upsets occur?

Be good enough so the kid doesn't want to transfer.

With all do respect that is a silly argument. Conemaugh Valley wins D6 A with their one missing piece. They also win their first round state game with him.Crimson09Crazy wrote:Be good enough so the kid doesn't want to transfer.
McCort didn't get better this year in boys basketball by practicing harder. They got better b/c of a transfer. Period. And they got better when their point guard transfered in a few years ago. Thats not getting better through practice when 40% of your staters transfered into the school for their freshman years.
Any school in district 6 would "get better" if Mr. Trexler decided to go to their school next year. And that would happen without practice.

i can tell u that trexler had intentions on having come to McCort, just saying, every kid that would go to McCort is a transfer... it has no "Bishop McCort Jr High" so there is really no transfer argument for a freshman, and indeed that fletcher kid did good, do u really think that is why they made it where they did, probably not
Re: 3 out of 4... Not bad Bishops!
A good example is a couple of years ago at Penn State when Stanley Pringle showed up on the men's basketball team as a junior college transfer. He IMMEDIATELY took over one of the guard spots and PSU made a little noise after that, even won the NIT. Pringle took somebody's place on the roster who was NOT NEARLY as good as him, and a veteran to boot. Without Pringle, PSU's season ends differently.

pitpens: What was the Anthony Larue story? He transferred to McCort as a junior.
