As a public school advocate i would like to say one thing. If any "public" school were to accept one player from another school, we would have to add their entire enrollment too ours. When McCort gets "one" player they have to add "one" student too their enrollment. Many people do not understand this because they are uneducated.

McCruit (love this nickname BTW) will never admit they recruit, because to do so would admit they are paying players to play and even as wishy-washy as the NCAA is they would likely take a dim view of those arrangements should any player make it to the next level.Manfred wrote:"McCort isn't well liked in the area." That's quite a profound statement, Crimson. I have a short memory. Could you recap why your quote has such powerful meaning? I mean, it can't be a very long statement, can it? BTW, this isn't any kind of a personal attack. Really. Inquiring minds want to know.

Knee slapper has it right. The private schools have an advantage not having to count all the kids.If all privates had to play up 1 class it would stop alot of the complaining.

Re: 9/30/2011
They should have their own classification or all be in AAAA...period. Wouldn't matter much to the "non-sports" privates, but the ones enjoying the current system would be the ones to have a problem with it.

I am not a private school hater and in fact if I were to live in Altoona or Johnstown school district and have kids, I probably would have them go to BG or BM. At the same time there really is no arguing the fact of an unfair advantage and many, many suspicious times when a great athlete from 30 minutes away all the sudden wants a private education in 9th or 10th grade. I'm fine with good young athletes leaving their home school district and trying to better their chance of receiving scholarships and being recognized by attending a private school. That school, however, should not be able to play in the same class as the small school he/she left to better themselves.

Yeah, BC with it's whopping 50 kids in each class should play AAAA, that almost makes sense....

Not gonna argue this because its a pointless argument, but to answer your question Manfred, the responses speak for themselves. McCort is not well liked, it is what it is.
