we did go undefeated, but it has just begun, we still have to prove that we can win at WCC's tomorrow and as well as countys and districts and then eventually states. yes we did go undefeated, but we have a long way to go. if we can take WCC's, it is all down hill from there

westmont is in the wcc's so if bedford can beat them which i think they will!!! then a state title could be reasonable!

Then you obviously dont understand how the meet works. If Kanuch wins his four events thats 40 points alone. Throw in their two distance guys that are going to be highly seeded and they could be over 50 points. In most normal years, 35-45 points will win the state title. Bedford beat Westmont last year too (as did Ridge) in the dual meets. They finished third overall in the state and would have finished a close second if Kanuch wouldnt have been disqualified in the 200 for stepping on the line. WCC was the same way last year as well with Westmont finishing high (winning i think) because of 2-3 guys.

right there jumper westmont was 3rd and at the wcc's they won with only 2 guys realy scoring the major points being dave mock and kanuch!
with bedford finishing like 20 points behind them for 2nd but anything could happen! even though bedford beat them in the dual meet its a different ball game in invites!

Yeah, and im not saying Bedford cant beat them, just saying that its a whole different ball game when it comes to the invitationals and states.

Yeah, I remember how that works. Big meets work way different than double duals. Say McConnellsburg has a guy running 9:20 in the 3200, 4:10 in the 1600, and 1:52 in the 800, but the rest of their team stinks. Everybody and their brother would beat them in double duals, since that guy is only good for 15 points, and the rest of the team combined isn't good for more than 20. But you get to states, and McConellsburg could compete for the team title if said individual wins his three events.

The reason Bedford is so hard to stop right now is because they have several guys posting state quality performances. Derrick and Troy Harris do well in the hurdles and the high jump, then you throw in John and Josh Marshall in the long and triple, and you have a tough team to beat. Not to mention Derrick running low 11s in the 100 and low 23s in the 200. Those are the only real super studs on the team, but everybody else does contribute points. Add it all together and they have the depth to win the duals, and possibly the studs to win WCC, and with some luck, states. They have the guns to medal several people at states this year, and maybe even have a couple top finishers. Those four guys mentioned above are probably the main reason that Ridge track no longer dominates District 5.

marshall should prob be lower than that in the 200m but since he got injured that hindered him and i hope he can lower that time and medal at states!
