V - of all those parochial school kids who transferred out (after the 8th grade) for years, how many excelled in athletics at their new school? Name 3 from each of those years.
Now, name 3 athletes who transferred IN each of those same years (after the 8th grade) and excelled on the athletic field for BM.
The kids who are leaving after 9th grade are not leaving to play athletics for a public school. Whereas the kids who leave the public schools (after 9th grade) are coming to BM for athletic reasons. So of course the crusher nation is not going to whine. For each "student" you lose at BM after the 8th grade, you will gain probably 2-3 "athletes".
When BM starts losing "athletes" instead of gaining them in the high school, you will start hearing some whining.

I don't know if you're drunk or unintelligent. You know you spelled "stocker" wrong on your signature though right, dummy? KirkHerbstreit

Attending a parochial grade school around Johnstown, such as St. Pats, costs about $1200-$1500 per student per year (unless there is some kind of multiple student discount per family). When a student goes off to McCort, the tuition jumps to at least $4800 per year. Many families can't make up that difference of about $3300 per year so they opt to return to their home district for grades 9th to 12th. I'd be amazed if many or any former parochial grade school attendees go back to their neighborhood schools for reasons other than financial ones.

Under the topic LHAC 2008 Sat June 28 12:23 PM. Happy Hunting........ And by the way, concerning vouchers, the rich aren't going to be affected by vouchers. They're already rich. The poor STILL won't be able to afford it. And the middle class, with our new economy problems, still will hesitate to send their kids to private schools. And why should any of us want to have our taxes used to pay for sending others to private schools, particularly those affiliated with a certain religion?

I'm talking about basketball and soccer at the Johnstown Christian School in Soap Hollow. Or, for that matter, any religious school that's private. Should any of us help pay for a private school with our tax money?
