Big East Woes, or No?
Big East is not looking very good in a national perspective. After 3 weeks, only BE team that is ranked is Cincinnati, who lambasted a supposed Rutgers contender even though they lost TEN GUYS on defense. Somehow, Cincinnati is still doing well.
USF was supposed to contend and just lost Grothe for the year.
WVU was beaten by a very average Auburn, who figures to end up 5th of 6 in the SEC West.
Pitt looks like they should easily win this conference. In the past 5 seasons, Scout ranked Pitt's conference recruiting ranking at 2nd in 2005, 1st in 2006, 2007, and 2008, and 4th in 2009. That's a lot of talent with nothing to show for it. There is also no love at all in the polls for the Panthers.
Help me, Cincinnati, you're our only hope.
