The TRUTH is what is wanted and what has been wanted. This is the BOT trying to save face and the NCAA saving face.

Why?
You can't erase what happened. They won those games. They knew they won those games. The teams they beat know who won those games. Whether they are officially recognized by the NCAA and Pitt fans is meaningless.

It's just weird, there are some "Penn State fans" that were more concerned about getting these wins back more than anything James Franklin is doing.
I feel bad for normal Penn State fans they have to deal with Joe's disciples.
As knowitall points out, it doesn't matter what happened years ago, the games were played and Penn State won. Who cares if the NCAA recognized them or not?

As a PSU Alum/fan all I have to say to this post is amen. I'm so sick go the people who further the "cult" narrative by worrying more about the meaningless NCAA opinion on games already played, and not the horrific crimes and the victims, that I could scream. Shut up and go away for God sakes. You wonder where they came up with the term "Joe-Bot". Sheesh!

If you follow BWI and talk to many PSU fans. The wins aren't important. The truth is.
The man convicted by the jury is in jail.
The other man and university was convicted by the media.
Until PROVEN otherwise, I will always feel that Joe Paterno did not know what was happening. Pedofiles don't walk around and tell people what they are doing. The Freeh Report was not proof. The fact that this was investigated in 1998 by police and then nothing came of it probably influences how I look at this from Paterno's standpoint. Was Jerry called out and then called out again by the same people after police initially investigated and found what they thought was nothing.
I think there are very few Joe-Bots out there. I don't think it is just about Joe. I'm happy the wins are restored because I don't think they should have been taken to begin with. I don't believe there was a cover-up or by Joe Paterno. I genuinely think he did not know what was happening. I think based on everything else the man did....I'll give him that benefit until it is PROVEN that he changed the way he lived his life and suddenly hid child molestation.
This will start another one of these threads where nobody changes anybody else's mind. We all believe what we want to believe right now and that's how it is. The wins are back but that doesn't matter. Reputation is gone forever. People believe what they want already and that's the end of the story.
