Coach Young resigned?? Any Mount Union fans have any insight on this? Did he leave on his terms? How is program looking for next few seasons?

I was shocked when I read the notice in the newspaper today for a head football coach. Not sure of any details myself either.
There's a good bit of talent coming up through the programs right now. Next year a lot of skill position players are back and the lines are the question mark.
Sorry to see him go, we've gotten two fantastic seasons from him and the program is enjoying a nice influx of excitement from the community again.

From what I understand he took an assistant coaching job with juniata college's baseball program.

Mount Union hired Kirk Stevens as head coach on Monday night.

He's been a teacher at Mount Union for years. He was an assistant for sure back in the late 80s/early 90s under Alan Hartman. I believe he may have been on the staff at the junior high level, but you can't quote me on that.
It'll be interesting to see the direction they go in. A lot of really great athletes coming up through the district right now if they can keep them coming out for the team.
