I think you kind of just had a bad take comparing him to Edwin Jackson and you are continuing to muddy the waters to try to dig yourself out and it's not working.

We all have bad takes sometimes, just got to own them.

Would you have been happier if I compared him to Jeff Samardzija?

Or Gerrit Cole?

Would you trade Colin Moran and Joe Musgrove straight up for Tyler Glasnow and Austin Meadows?

At the moment i don’t know which starter Chris Archer should replace in the Pirate rotation.

I'm not happy, nor angry at who you compared to who. Just pointing out some factual inaccuracies I noticed.

He's going to replace Nick Kingham in all likelihood.

I saw a lot on here about Strike outs. While its a cool stat it doesn't mean 1 pitcher is better than another. I would think things like ERA, opponents on base percentage and pitch counts are a lot more important than strike outs.

Some Pirate fans are just miserable people. They complain that management will never make moves to bolster the roster. When it happens, they find reasons to oppose it.

The Pirates got the top starter and one of the top relievers available. This is what people have always wanted, until it has now happened (for some reason).

I was a very critical Pirates fan this winter and spring. This trade has given me and the rest of the fans some some hope, or at least it should. You have to give credit to NH and the front office for going for it. The core to succeed is in place. The players must produce now.

I think fans are just upset that previous years where the team had better core/team and moves were never made. This team has small potential but atleast some aggression has happened

The Pirates have messed up a lot of things in recent years, but today was not one of them in my opinion.

They deserve their fair share of criticism for not adding at the 14/15 deadlines. Or signing anyone before 2016.  It’s all worth criticism, heavy doses of it too.

Today, they seemingly played it right.
