It was Hurdle. He used to manage in Colorado and he came up with this weird explanation that pitchers need an extra day if they pitch in Colorado or something, and other teams typically don’t do that from my understanding.
I agree completely but.... hahahahaha believe it or not the idiotic pitching philosophies in Colorado came from another bucco reject, Jim Tracy... lol

Clint Hurdle can’t give a player the take sign without first running it past the Pirates analytics team, a group made up of guys who peed their pants while playing their two innings in right field  in little league.

I thought I was the only one that would be fired u about this stupid decision. The starters just held a hot hitting team to 7 runs in 3 games. That is just over 2 runs per game, CLINT. The they didn't struggle. So change your plan after you see the results that your staff did against another wild card possible team. Whoever made the final decision completely gave that game away!! And as somebody else said it messes up the Cubs starters also. This us really hard to understand.

Lol. Yeah analytics don’t matter.
“Hey leave Steve in, he’s only thrown 145 pitches.  That’s how it worked in the old days!”

Then Steve took the ball four days later and worked all 11 innings of a 1-0 win against the Expos.

Hey Sneakers, Clint won the game tonight by simply starting a major league pitcher. You could tell Williams was well rested and that probably was the reason he was so dominant!!! :D :D
