Back to back title game appearances is pretty impressive. What other local teams, other than Bishop Guilfoyle football, have done that?

In the old days Northern Cambria Volleyball and Basketball I believe. BG girls basketball too,

Bellwood girls basketball have won the past two state championships, and have the team to beat this year.  

Under the old final 4 format, Penns Manor Volleyball. If I remember right it was at a college in Pittsburgh. Then final 4 at Central York High School. PM ended up 3rd that year and I think NC won.

Going way back, Laurel Valley boys basketball competed in and lost the state title game in 69, 70, and 71.

Richland girls won Gold in 83 and twice in 84.  Three years in a row.  Volleyball was a spring sport in the 83-84 school year and became a fall sport in 84-85.  

I think Richland also won back to back gold in 99-00

Richland’s girls took silver in 1982, 1985, 1987 and 1989. They won gold in 1983, 1984, 1984 (again) and 1986. That’s seven straight appearances in the championship game and eight appearances in nine years.
