Would the non-football schools in Somerset County consider joining ICC?

Travel-wise would the Heritage make more sense for the remaining WestPac schools rather than the ICC?

The Heritage might take Shade as it is paired with CT in football. I doubt the conference would be very interested in the schools south of Route 30. I would think the Heritage would also accept Blacklick Valley and Ferndale.

What has changed? There was a lot of talk just a few years ago about LV being happy to get back to their WPIAL roots? Did that rivalry with Frazier never materialize?

Be afraid, be very afraid if LV comes back to the LHAC.

I believe that LV is quite happy in the WPIAL. Their teams have been fairly successful. The football schedule has been interesting, with games against Indiana and Jeannette. The 2022 schedule has Derry returning to the Ram's section which includes three Westmoreland County schools. Greensburg Salem and Southmoreland, two more Westmoreland schools, also appear on the Ram's slate. Other schools local to LV, such as Greater Latrobe and Mount Pleasant, dot the schedules of various other Ram teams. So why would LV want to leave the WPIAL?

The Daily American just posted an article 4-20-22, that the Rockwood School District has applied for membership into ICC Conference.

That would probably make sense for sports in that region to be more sustainable without the help of most current ICC teams. They sustain all of the most core sports except football right?
