Altoona University

Post by LVluverMikeT »

How on earth does BG avoid moving up in football? Aliquippa forced up to 5A (although school plans to take PIAA to court) with a 2A enrollment for the next two years and Guilfoyle was somehow the only school out of the 6 that appealed to the PIAA that isn't being forced to move up. Makes no sense. Tuition will be going up after that hefty payment to the PIAA to keep them at 1A

Absolutely spot on…. It’s funny, in the Aliquippa situation, a PIAA director was quoted to say, “a transfer is a transfer is a transfer”. As if to mean, there is no gray area. Not so I guess with the BG situation.

BG didn’t avoid being moved up, they wanted to be able to move back down to A but initially had to stay AA before they won their appeal.

Aliquippa allegedly had 23 transfers the last 2 years. They claim they only had 3, idk how you have that big of a discrepancy

Were the move-ups intended to be permanent? I assume this would be revaluated for each 2yr cycle. BG wouldn't have the success points based upon the last 2-year cycle.

Mike Cacciottie is one of the worst human beings you could ever meet. Former AD now principal. I have no doubts he "tugged" the right strings to make this happen.

Tugged strings or just showed they didn’t have enough success points? Lol
