Re: Head Coach Openings
I would be shocked if there were more than 5 people applying for this opening. Unless there is a teaching/school job attached to it?
Head Coach Openings
I also heard there were many applicants for the job - way more than I expected.

Re: Head Coach Openings
Probably depends on how widely it was advertised. I was told from a legitimate source that there were close to 60 applicants at CC when Fyfe was hired, some from other states. But the job was advertised in many different places.
Re: Head Coach Openings
Any update on the Hill? What about Jtown, CT, Glendale? Anywhere else other than Da Steelers after Sat looking for a new HC?
Re: Head Coach Openings
Josh Rearick is the new coach at Westmont. Joel Holsopple is the new coach at Conemaugh Valley.
Re: Head Coach Openings
Many congrats to Josh, clearly the best candidate for that job.

25-30 applicants and the best guy for the job has zero head-coaching experience? More likely most convenient guy for the job, since he's a teacher there.

What is the talk on the Central Cambria and Johnstown openings? What are the rumors? Somebody had to hear something.

How in the world is that sour grapes? I didn't apply for the job. Probably best to have a coach in the school. I was questioning the claim of 25-30 applicants for a small high school football coaching job in Johnstown.Manfred wrote: ↑Yesterday, 7:26 amSpoken from a person who obviously does not KNOW the man.
