Haven’t heard who’s staying or leaving, but Klezek is a great fit. Hes extremely knowledgeable and as a graduate who works as a teacher in the school is very passionate about the school and community. He has young kids who are coming up through and is involved already so he’ll be able to develop the bottom to top process from the youth level all the way to varsity. Plus he’s already on the basketball staff and has a connection with the athletes there and is well liked.IToldYouSo wrote: ↑January 19th, 2025, 12:12 am What will the remaining staff at Central Cambria look like?
But according to Enzo CC should be bringing in people who don’t even apply who have no connections to the school and that’s what will change everything…

I wish him well. As a teacher and community member does sound like a good fit, but as Lee Corso says, " Not so fast my friend." Being well-liked is important. I am sure he will be fair and will treat his athletes very well. But, as we all know he is going to have to win. The last two coaches, I assume, did not win games and at a school like CC he can be liked and respected but wins will need to happen.
Time will tell.

CC has had some decent JR High teams over the past 3 seasons. There is some ability in the pipeline, assuming kids keep playing when they reach the HS level.

I don’t disagree, communities will always complain about not winning, and then they will even complain about winning but not winning championships (PSU). However neither McGregor or Fyfe were canned, both resigned. There were probably fans who wanted them to be but I don’t think the position was going to be opened this year until Fyfe stepped down.footballfan1 wrote: ↑January 19th, 2025, 1:43 pm But, as we all know he is going to have to win. Based on the Tribune article, Reed wanted to keep the Jtown job. A little back-stabbery by his OC....??

As for Klezek isn’t he the cc guy that left his funnel program of youth football last season with like 10 other kids to go play in windber? Does t sound very passionate about community and program to pull kids from developmental league and leave the community….which only hurt the ones who signed up by not having enough kids for a season and played some games only 9 on 9. And Far as McGregor stepped down because he didn’t feel he was 100% in at his time……Fyfe was canned but given the option to resign to look better in media for both school and personal.

Isn't Windber a flag league? How does kids leaving a tackle league they weren't going to play in anyways to play in a flag league hurt the program? Shouldn't people be glad those kids were still playing football and not picking up a different sport?Perm342002 wrote: ↑January 23rd, 2025, 7:42 am As for Klezek isn’t he the cc guy that left his funnel program of youth football last season with like 10 other kids to go play in windber? Heard that Glendale hired someone from one of the Cambria’s (Penn,Central,Northern)? Fyfe? That program seemed to be on an upswing. Anyone hear anything?
