This lawsuit is ludicrous, so of course McCort were the ones that brought it. Someone with the slightest bit of common sense understands that this is a border vs non-boarder issue, not a religious issue. Nobody cares they are a Catholic school, they care they pull kids from all over the region, state, and country. 🤦🏻‍♂️

The LHAC could just fold, re-organize, and not invite privates. EZPZ.

The Bishops competing at single A in PIAA championships? No. The Bishops competing in the LHAC? Sure.

Schools that didn't vote against them should file defamation countersuits against BM.

If the bishops are done does the LHAC move to an 18 team conference and realign? Or do Windber and Berlin get reconsidered?

I’ve long been in favor of the wpial model. Put all of 5/6 in one mega conference. Divide it by classification. Leave one week open to maintain any rivalries. Only schedule schools in your division or 1 above/below outside of the open week.

That is a great idea, but one would have to consider the travel costs. District 6 has to be one of the, if not the, largest district area wise I would think? Think past football, thats a lot of long nights Volleyball, Basketball, Baseball, Softball, and other sports have to endure throughout a week, plus ya know, schooling. At the end of the day there is definitely a need for some sort of conference realignment. A lot of shrinking school districts in this area. But then again if you want the play only your district route, the rest of D5 schools would start bawling and crying that they would have to play Bedford, Chestnut Ridge, and Somerset in the regular season.

Not to stray from the point of the original post, but rumour is McCort hired a big time Attorney from Pittsburgh to take up the case that deals in the fine arts of Civil Rights.

Someone just gave BM a million dollars. Maybe they can use that money for their trial.
