Bellwood-Antis upended Mount Union 17-14 on homecoming night in Mount Union.
Mount Union played a great game and honestly outplayed Bellwood-Antis. Mount Union made several great defensive stops, but one of which was on the one yard line, cost MU a safety.
Bellwood-Antis took a 7-0 lead in the first quarter, before Mount Union fought back to tie it at 7-7 at half. Mount Union went up 14-7 in the third quarter, then allowed a safety and a late touchdown to take the hard loss.
Mount Union and Bellwood were trading fumbles deep inside Trojan territory and finally Bellwood capitalized on the final MU fumble.
Mount Union's schedule hits an easier slide in terms of records after opening with Huntingdon, Chestnut Ridge, Moshannon Valley and Bellwood-Antis.
