I didn't think the Panthers could put up those kind of offensive numbers, but I'm glad they did. Can anyone give a first hand account of the game?

It was close in the first half. The score was 14-6. The Panthers manhandled them from there on out. A great game by QB Mikes Hughes helped them to victory. Brandon Rodland, as usual, came up big for the Panthers with some nice runs and great catches, as always. Greg Kilgore had a touchdown. Overall, the Panthers were very dominating.

northstar definately lost their motovation after the first dominating 2 drives by NB. they moved the ball well pretty much the whole game. some very nice passing and good running made the panthers look like a good team. tremendous defense as well. northstar tried to get a passing game going late in the game but the defense stopped it as well. i did see some holes in the secondary at times but overall they pulled it together. i have to give credit to NB in the trenches, they dominated coming off the ball tonight.

congrats to all the panthers on the win and goodluck next week

Hornick the 1200 yd rusher began the game with a 31 yard carry. From there on out, he had 13. The Panther defensive pressure was overwhelming for NS. The score could have been even more lopsided had mental mistakes not shut the door on the Panthers in the first half. I feel we could have moved the ball all night at any time. The NS TD drive was aided by a personal foul facemask call on what would have been an 8 yard loss. It was a ticky tack call, but oh well. NS scored with under a minute to go in the half.

The ends from NS came up the field extremely hard which set up the Panther's favorite pass...it was used in a variety of sets and worked extremely well.

I thought the week off might not help a whole lot, but NB seemed to have a lot more energy in the 2nd half of the ball game. They were just smacking people left and right...it was physical out there.

NB's rushing attack was once again led by the entire team...Kilgore, Webber, Donaldson, Rodland, Feathers..all made plays.

Great game by the Panthers....next up...the District 5 Championship game!

Also, the Panthers put the game away late in the third or early 4th (I forget exactly when the play happened), but I know the last 10 minutes were very conservative just running the ball and winding the clock. I was proud of the JV defense for not letting NS get that second touchdown with about 4 minutes left! The third quarter was probably the best quarter NB has played all year...they just came out and exploded.

Sincere congrats to all Panther players and coaches from a Ridge fan who was mightily impressed when we played you. Keep up the great play!
