Keyshawn Johnson Deactivated

Post by deliverance »

i just read that Keyshawn Johnson was deactivated from the buccaneers roster today....and i guess this means he will not be playing for the rest of the year....i am kind of shocked by this.....could this guy really be bad enough in the locker room that they had to remove him?

from what i understand it's not medical at all... he's just not good for the team anymore... he said that he'd rather retire than play for Gruden next year... I hope Sapp is the next to go 8)

I saw the interview with him, done by Dan Patrick on Sportscenter, and he said that he talked with the management officials and they decided that it would be best if he was deactivated. I think it was a mix of him not wanting to play for Gruden and his fellow players not wanting a cocky moron like him hanging around any longer. Should be interesting to see where he goes from here.

I agree how can u be miserable while ur making that much money there are millions of kids who just wish they could play in the NFL and then you got ppl like him with TONS of skills crying its stupid then u got ppl like Deion Sanders who leaves a team cuz he gets offered more money?? its bull most of the NFL players are throwing away their dreams for money!

He is a selfish player. He wants the ball!! That is ok. But to complain and be a distraction crying about it is wrong. He said in that interview last night he was not a selfish player. WRONG!! he is selfish just like Terrell Owens. They are both competitors but they also CRY. GOod for Coach Gruden making this move. I LOVE it

Yea he's a punk and he is definitely selfish...where is he gonna go now though? Isn't his contract around 12 million or something? After seeing what he did in TB it's gonna be interesting to see which team would want to pick him up. They were saying on ESPN that when he played for Dungy he had something like 7 yds. a catch and in TB he was averaging around 4, might have something to do with his decision.

well if went to play for dungy...could you imagine marvin harrison and keyshawn on the same team?...wait..it wont happen because keyshawn would bawl around about not getting the ball enough...but he needs to realize hes at best a #2 receiver.
