6-1 to 6-6 and no bowl....plus more on PSU-Pitt

Pitt football is not bowling thisyear.
I think we heard the bashing as PSU fans about our down years in the early 2000's.
PSU lost to 3 BCS teams and a team that finished in the Top 5 of the BCS but was shut out of it because of 2 others in the same conference. 3 of those games were on the road (everyone knows those are tough to win against real good teams).
Pitt lost to Uconn, MSU (PSU beat them), Rutgers, WVU, Louisville, and S. Florida.
PSU looks to be a contender in the B10 next year. Morelli and the WRs are back. The OL returns lots of starters. 5th year senior Austin Scott at TB. The offense stunk this year, but... we'll see, I think they are better next year for sure. The D returns Conner, Lee, King, Davis, Scirotto, and some young D lineman and backers who were recruited as some of the best in the nation. We'll see what happens there, but they should be pretty good too. I think next year the Nits host ND, OSU, Wisky, Purdue, and Iowa (nice home schedule...)
Pitt has lots of talent that has been recruited last year and they have nice talent coming in this year too. I'm not so sure though that they will be much better next year in conference than they were this year. Rutgers, WVU, and Louisville all return a lot, and I think USF only gets better.
Pitt's home schedule next year might be the worst I've EVER... I mean EVER seen in my life. I think it will be a tough ticket to sell after this year's debacle to end the year. I know attendance isn't the only thing that matters, but it is a pretty big deal. I've harped on this before, but 110K at around $37 per ticket (avg with student costs), NLC donations, the amount of people that stay in SC on a weekend, etc etc...this is a big money business and I think Pitt will suffer. Anyway, the schedule...blah
Cincy, Syracuse, South Florida, UConn, Grambling, Navy, and Bowling Green.
Honestly, they might average less than 25k per game next year.... Theyy should get some wins there....but
Well anyway, I just wanted to point some things out after PSU fans were ripped on so much the last 2 years about this, that, and the other thing. Pitt may start to win more, but now they have a suddenly deep Big East and they'll be the ones with a ripe, new quarterback next year who will come in with no experience. Not only that...Rut, WVU, Louisville....all on the road next year.
