Yes, but Ham doesn't care about that. He's a Duke fan.

Over the past 5 years, UConn is the winningest basketball program in the Big East. Who is second? That's right, the Pitt Panthers. So to say that the only reason they get a high seed is because they go 12-0 in the pre-Big East schedule is absurd.

Re: Penn State Basketball's Future
yins losers need to come to grip with the fact that pitt is considered nationally as a top notch program. five years with 20plus wins, that is no fluke.oh, and this is a rebuilding year. can you imagine what psu rebuilding year would look like.? 20plus lossses.

Pitt has had recent success during the season but until they win a Big Game in the tourny they really haven't done anything to remarkable. Teams that don't do anything remarkable are just average or a little better than average. When was Pitt's last final 4 or Elite 8? A bunch of Sweet 16's just means you are a step away. So Pitt's program is still a step away.

Re: Penn State Basketball's Future
There are probably 7 programs on that list that you can say Pitt is consistently better then. Indiana, Wisconsin, BC, Nova, Oklahoma St., Memphis. Its all opinion and because you are even comparing Pitt to these great programs should be sign enough that they are an above average program. Teams get hot and upsets happen in the big tournament that is why it is March Madness and the measuring stick for a good tournament is making the Sweet Sixteen, it is not an easy thing to make it too, especially in Men's college B-ball which is extremely competitive now a days. Is Pitt a top 10 program in the nation, maybe maybe not, but if you are considered anywhere within the top 20 you are an above average program.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but please back up your list of 20 programs that are better than Pitt.
Memphis: Please give me their NCAA Tournament record over the past 5 seasons.
BC: Pitt owns BC over the past 5 seasons.
Wisconsin: Pitt has beaten Wisconsin in their last two meetings, including in the NCAA Tournament game in Milwaukee.
Indiana: Pitt beat Indiana in their last meeting.
Syracuse: Pitt owns Syracuse over the past 5 years.
UConn: Pitt has played UConn even over the past 5 seasons.
Like or not, Pitt is without a doubt a top 20 basketball program.

They're also high on the list of teams that choke every season.

Choke every season? I will give you last season's loss to Pacific, but other than that, they have finished about where expected.
If you are a 4 seed entering the tournament, the committee is saying that you are a Sweet 16 caliber team. That is exactly what Pitt has done.

Jaime Dixon is the Walt Harris of basketball. Isn't it funny how they both coached at the same place.
Your AD is an impressionableman with no real sense of athletics, your football coordinators are the worst the Big East, and Jamie Dixon builds dams all day with his beaver teeth. Maybe he should be more concerned with Pacific or Georgetown than he is about damning the Monongahela.
