How exactly do you think Louisville and Rutgers make BCS games (and UCLA too) when UCLA plays USC and UL and RU play eachother?

V-Tech is the best of a bad lot in the ACC. You're out of your mind to rank them that high. They have 2 good players. Florida State is the sleeper, and will probably win the conference. Get used to that, because FSU is about to become FSU again.

Mike Paulus isn't even the starting QB at UNC. Yates is pretty decent.

I would try to look more at coaching staffs than what you did. Lots of patterns I think you missed. A lot of work and good write up, though.

I am guessing that a Penn State fan wrote this. Or maybe Kirk Herbstreit. They are the only ones picking Penn State to do that well. Unless they have a different QB, Penn State will still have at least two single digit scoring performances and at least 4 games under 20 points.

I seem to remember a low-scoring Ohio State team who won a ton of games by the skin of their teeth.

Chris Simms played at Texas. Texas has done twice as well n the past few years since before. Penn State sent coaches down there to study how Texas does things, and Penn State is doing a lot better. Texas won a national title recently and is the top team in the Big 12 now. I'm not saying that the PS2 is what gave Texas a re-emergence, but how many national titles has Pitt won since 1985? Better yet, how many GAMES have they won? 8?

Well done, I loved your post...this is the kind of stuff I like seeing on here. I agree with a lot of what you picked. My one thing that is a lot differernt is FSU. I think they'll rebound this year. The new coaches they brought in is like a Who's-Who staff of excellence.

Thanks for the nice little read this morning.

I also remember that low-scoring Ohio State team that won lots of games by the skin of their teeth. The difference is that the 2002 OSU defense was unreal. Penn State's defense will not even approach them.

Not true, homeslice. The only place on D where this year's PSU team does NOT stack up against ANY other team at that position, is on the line. And how many more times do I need to beat people over the head with this? There are ridiculous patterns with every single team and every single coaching staff! What has Tom Bradley done to make you think that PSU's defensive line won't be good?

It doesn't matter if PSU wins 12 games with scores like 3-0 or 9-7.

I was watching ESPNNEWS the other day, yesterday actually. And some expert picks games before every college football season starts and he lays out who he thinks is gonna be in the national title game.

His pick was LSU over Penn State.

There's at least 3 people now.

TRIVIA QUESTION OF THE DAY!

UCONN won ONE Big lEast game last season. Who was that victory over?
