Ok I said you can make an agrument for it at this point and their are some stats to back it up. I do not think they were replaced, but mccort is more prolific at other positions this year coupled with the fact they gained much experience and are poised from last years run.

Yeah it is arguable...however i think '04 had the most talent of any mccort team...(5 D1 players! lewis(senior), lewis(soph), cruz(sr), wadley(soph), jones(soph) plus a host of great high school football players such as Josh Varga, Correll) Should have advanced further in the playoffs if ur askin me...

Should have advanced further? Please elaborate. They got dominated (yes, dominated) in the district championship game. The final score, 15-6, was in no way an indication of how the game went.
It takes me 2 hours to watch 60 minutes.

kingdom I would have to say you are completely wrong. 2001 had the Arcurio to Regula connection and I'm sorry as good as Defrances and Varga are, they just don't quite size up to those two. They didn't throw the ball as much because they had some great running backs in Schrey and Forgas. Besides that the competition in the LHAC was very different back then. BC FH BM were all great. You could throw CC into that mix to. Also every person on that D-line was indeed a better defensive player than Cruz. Delichs and Rizzo would make Cruz look very average.

This will be a great year for McCort but 2001 was a dominate team that faced much stiffer competition. This years team really wouldn't size up.

In defense of the 04 team...true they got dominated but I have all the confidence in the world in saying that the Tyrone team was the best to come out of D6 in quite sometime. They absolutely dominated Seton LaSalle that year too.

I thinks its between 06 and 01. I think you gotta put 06 at the top talent wise...even though they didnt beat d-10 like 01 did I think it woulda been a different story if they played Wilmington in better conditions.

In '04 T. Tate for Tyrone put on the most dominating performance, from a D Lineman, I've seen in roughly 2 decades in Tyrone's 15-6 win over BM for the D6 title....and I saw in person Tyrone wax Seton LaSalle!

vman...

You are right about Terry Tate. A stud plain and simple. I saw the Brindle kid from Huntington years ago turn in a pretty awesome and dominant performance as well. Very similar to T. Tate.

I saw Tate going against a 195 lb first year starting guard and a soph. OT...i agreeTate was awesome(state heavyweight champ that year)..but look who he was goin against (mind you there were 2-300+lb kids on the bench..one squated 500 easy and benched 400 who didnt get a shot-not wayne jones)...plus it would have been an entirely dif. game if shawn lewis had not been hurt (he had injured his ACL 2 weeks prior...got surgery...and still played!) I dont think 04 was the best overall team b/c of the line... i do think they had the best/fastest corps of wrs and spec. that any D6 team has ever had tho! (lewis 4.3, coleman sub 4.3, wadley 4.3, spangler-great hands, levella 4.5) the best line was either 01 or 06...imagine that...good line = winning games....

I think the best team mccort has ever had was indeed 2001...I can still her "JOE HOCKEYCO" being yelled from the stands! That team had a stacked line with 1-2 deep both sides of the ball...their skilled positions were phenominal...and they had some Joe Arcurio guy at qb...

If 06 and 01 squared off that would have been a game for the ages...it probably would have come down to a game winning field goal from one of the Domokos brothers!

DWG...aren't we exaggertating some 40 times? I think the Steelers would be glad to have 3 guys run a 4.3 or better let alone a small high school in heart of the Alleghenies. Who runs the stopwatch? To find out what someones honest 40 time is let Goo Washington run the stopwatch. Bill Benbow won the state 100m and wasn't a 4.3 or a sub 4.3.

McCort had alot of speed on those teams, but only 06' and 07' have beaten the once mighty BC Huskies.
