Re: TOP TEAMS IN LHAC & Pre Season ALL Conference
Wow. Some of this stuff about CC baseball is so ridiculous I'm not even sure I want to respond. But since I believe I know these kids well enough as players and regular kids I think I'll spend some time refuting some of the rather malicious remarks from the Genius.
Nalisnick had a down year last year. Lay off. With the HS baseball season lasting basically three weeks after you figure in rain/snow outs, a batting slump can affect most of your season. Nalisnick will get back to form. I'm thinking .375+ with 4-6 homers. And if he can develop even a semblance of an off-speed pitch, he could be a quality starting pitcher. He doesn't have the greatest heat, but then again if he was clocked at RPBS he probably would. According to that radar gun, nine FH pitchers (including 2 freshman JV pitchers) have thrown over 95 in the last three months.
Like someone said earlier, McGregor is a pretty good hitter for average. I watched a couple CC games last year, and I dont think I ever saw him get anything but a single. But I heard he hit over .500 last year so he must be doing something right. And I love how people jump all over a kid who is both athletic and intelligent, which might lead him to end up at Harvard or Princeton. I heard he got accepted to both.
Luke Trotz. Sift through all the bullcrap posted on the previous forums, and you'll find the truth on him. Once again, people jumping on a kid that actually enjoys success from his hard work. He'll have a good, solid year at 3rd or 1st base if he keeps his head on straight and doesnt listen to the crap on this site.
Petrosky and Wasilewski are both tremendous athletes. If I was the CC coach, I'd feel safer if they would play with a bit more intelligence, but I'll take their raw talents any day.
Cornetti slumped a bit last year, like Nalisnick. He'll be fine. Although I'm not sure why he's going to Delweld. Don't they have any other catchers? A solid year of being the starting catcher in Legion ball could probably have benefited Cornetti.
Anyway, I have no idea what CC baseball will look like this year. They seem to have a chance to be good, but that program has the reputation of being more interested in screwing around and having fun than being serious and enjoying success on the diamond. It'll be interesting to see how their year unfolds.

PC will be a better team this year than in the past, mainly due to a change of additude of the head coach. There is alot of talent, just wait and see if Ronan can bring it all together. I think he can

I agree with swingman on his predictions but i would add something. Ocipa will have a break out year hitting over .500 and starting in one of the outfield positions, his baseball IQ is trememendous and he has the best plate discipline I have seen in a long time in high school baseball. He also his a speedster on the bases and will rack up at least 30 sb and I wouldn't be surprised if he had a few homeruns, the guy is just an all-around athlete and will make opposing teams pay for their mistakes.
And the CC team will have a outstaning pitching rotation with Naliznic, McGregor, Klezek, and Monito. And for relieving them it will be both Deyulis boys(Mario and Dom) and Trotz.

Just mentioning Monito and Trotz is an outrageous stretch for an "outstanding pitching rotation"

Ha, ha, ha... very truebut then again if he was clocked at RPBS he probably would. According to that radar gun, nine FH pitchers (including 2 freshman JV pitchers) have thrown over 95 in the last three months.
If my knowledge of the college application process is correct, McGregor could not have gotten into those schools already since neither of them have an early decision process. Therefore he wouldn't know if he got in for another month.which might lead him to end up at Harvard or Princeton. I heard he got accepted to both.
Please don't turn this message board into a joke like it was earlier in the winter. If you have some intelligent comment worth posting go right ahead, but no one wants to read this senseless garbage.

I don't know about everything else on here from the other posts, but everything I posted (with the exception of the RPBS joke) was in all seriousness.

I think you need to eat a slice or two of humble pieCC Genius 2008 wrote:As a member of the CC team and good friends with the spectacular Trotz and Klezek will have average if not below average seasons. Although Trotz has alot of potential and he has played all summer in Puerto Rico, he can barely speak english let alone play baseball. As for Klezek I don't even think he can get the ball across the plate let alone throw a 97 mph fastball. He will probably slump just like last year and be one of the worst players on the team. As for the rest of the team Nalisnick will be angered and will put up amazing numbers after he sat all winter on a bench watching his basketball team triumphant every game. McGregor a.k.a. DA CHANGE will be solid for the devils and will be just as good when he heads to Harvard and follow in his fathers(Bernie McGregor) footsteps and take them to a college world series. Petrosky will be just as good for the devils as he is for the opposing teams as he will lead the team with errors. He has a history of doing so just look at the D6 football game when he had 2 fumbles and costed the devils a championship. Cornetti will be the base of the team leading the team in all categories but errors because of his uncanty catching style and sweet swing. The best left-handed hitter to ever come throuh th school and he is a million times better than Trotz and he will prove it even in the summer when Delweld will win the AAABA tourney being carried by Cornetti. Wasileski maybe the best hitter on there team last year will bat just abe .200 and as a outfielder will not be an elite defender. He will let balls go by him just like he let Varga in the D6 game and commit over 20 errors. CC is losing powerhouse and all-star Thomas O'Brien from last year and with him on the team might of been a contender and now they have just had a key player(Davidson) quit earlier in the week. As for the coaching staff, Dave Moore walks in to practice everyday with a "How to Play Baseball" book and Clinton Gochnour cant even read. CC should of made and investment on Mike Holtz but as for Susan Makosy(Superintendent + head of school board) she doesnt believe in spending money because she wants it all for herself so that didnt work out to well. Well back to the coaches, they have decided to put Eric Ocipa(Buck) in a starting position before the season. Ocipa who is the cockiest player on the team will probably start but if not it is only because he is from Vinco. The CC school board should definately cancel the upcoming season because it would be ashame to watch and to let these boys lose every game in which they call baseball.

Its interesting how genius says hes a member of the team, but is only continuing to downgrade the team he plays for. As for my opion on the situation CC does have the reputation of goofing off as previously stated, but im sure that after a 4-14 year the coaches would be trying to get down to business. They have a chance to have a good year with some good talent and a few baseball minded athletes. I look for them to all be serious and focused once they take the field. In their senior years Petrosky, Cornetti, and McGregor should all provide senior leadership and i dont forsee them letting this years team get out of hand like CC did in the 07 season.
Do you believe in miracles.....YES!
Re: TOP TEAMS IN LHAC & Pre Season ALL Conference
although i go to mccort i must say richland is being talked up way too much. somerset will be good but will have some holes to fill. bishop guilfoyle will be a surprise team who need to show something in their first year in the lhac. Westmont and boyle with his wacky hair will be no contest. boyle who is this kid ?? obviously nobody good. Forest hills will be good as always but remember last year when they were 12-1 and lost to an unknown johnstown team. Johnstown will be good. I mean as best of a team that they've had in many many years. Captain Rick Montgomery will be a power for the trojans along with teammate nick eidem. This kid throws gas, runs fast, and can hit the crap out the ball. i mean they'll be a threat. Bobby helman is nothing i think he's overrated. Along with ben pearce. who are these kids honestly. WOWWWWW !!!!!! go back to tee-ball. Russ gray and richland will suck. Russ gray won rookie of the year cuz his coach padded his stats. Sammy watkins clearly shoulda won it. Joe novotny doesn't throw 86 and got titted in the jay sox. i mean the lhac is gonna be close this year cuz everybody SUCKS !!!!! there is no clear amazing standout team. And as far as mccort they will be good with harrington leading the way. we will win it all . BISHOP MCCORT= STATE CHAMPS!!!!!!!!!!!
