I'm worried about them chasing Hossa and missing out on 2-3 other players they could have signed instead. They've got a hell of a lot of work to do.

Listening to Hossa's post game 6 interview they asked him about whether or not he would resign with the pens and his response was something to the effect of "if i wanted more money i would have just resigned with atlanta." Now maybe he was just telling the media what it wanted to hear or, maybe he really wants to stay with them and would take a little less than his market value.

And count.....AMEN!

they can afford to get rid of whitney, sydor, conks/sabu (keep one, probably sabu and send the other packing), laraque, hossa, hall and i know i might get some guff for this one, but possibly sykora as well if he wants too much money. bring in some fresh blood to the team that aren't going to bog them down with big salaries. malkin, crosby, gonchar, and fleury are our big guys we need to keep. staal, letang, orpik and malone are right below those four, and any of the others that i haven't mentioned are the ones that i would love to see stay, but can understand if they want more money and want to go elsewhere (especially ruutu as he's my favorite player on this team and talbot as he is BY FAR the hardest working man on the ice day in and day out)
