Re: McCort/Portage
If McCort is to win they must be more creative in the play calling. If they get into a boring game like they did this weekend, they may not even want to show up. With the athletes they have I expected their offense to just throw tons of points up. Some true trip option would go a long way for them.

Re: McCort/Portage
BM was averaging 31 - 13 per game. They beat BA 24-20.
Two plays and they are at their season average. Play one, that 4th down and short TD throw for BA. Play two, Schrey's should-have-been-TD.
Credit BA for their relentlessness and their playcalling. Add a drop by Seidel and the Crushers cruise. BM played a solid game and they need NOT to change a thing...
The thing BM does need to do is: let the secondary cover and let the LBs play run. Portage runs like El-Moldo on ex-lax....if BM can lock down in the redzone and force Portage to pass...it will be long night for the 'Stangs.

Re: McCort/Portage
Don't need to change a thing? While we are taking plays away how about when Schrey threw to Domonkos and was past the line of scrimmage by a mile? And play calling, they have a tight end in case no one knew that. Their run game is almost the same play every time. With the talent they have in the backfield they should be moving backs in motion fast every play much like Navy, Airforce ect... This slow Hback motion stuff is no good. They need to add a little spice to the mix. But when they did it equaled a failed reverse. On third down they tossed a wideout screen that without Dane making a play would have killed them. Following that they run a screen later in the game and get it blown up. And if we keep adding and dropping plays we could be at this all night the one time they took a shot they had it meaning the ball to Seidel, they have that open all day to any receiver. And saying that Portage is slow is obscene, they are quick, but you don't need to be fast to beat McCort just sustained keep the offense and the field with long long drives and thats the ball game, McCort needs to open it up.

Crimsoncrush67, I've been trying to tell DWG that our offense is incredibly predictable.
But Schrey was 1 yard behind the line...I watched the film last night.

"incredibly predictable"...yet no one has stopped it yet...
Every team takes a look at film and makes the "perfect game plan" only to see it fail. The reason CC and BA kept it close was because they tackled very well. BM delivered when the game was on the line vs a 1-loss team.
Think about this...add a TD run for Schrey and a 60 yard seam route to Seidel and no one on here is saying a thing about the offense. So I dont see a reason to doubt it...
