Larry deserved it but being on a disappointing team cost him the award. They showed the numbers of other receivers that had won the Heisman last night. He had beat them all by about 400 yards receiving and had many more TD's. It's a shame that he didn't get it. He can thank his teammates for not getting it.

The same exact thought was in my head Captain, I just forgot to write it! I would have to say that certainly is a runningback throwing a stiff arm. I can't say that I have seen too many quartbacks throwing stiff arms in my day.
Also, I really think is a bunch of bull that the record of your team makes a difference. It is definitely the truth though...the past couple of years the winner has been the QB of a top 5 team. The award is for THE BEST PLAYER IN COLLEGE FOOTBALL, not the leader of the best team. Get the press and the people out of the voting, have the coaches vote on it.

I definitely agree with you 4him. If they are going to let the press do the voting, they should at least wait until all the games are over. This also cost Fitzgerald some votes. He had a bad last game and probably lost a few votes and then White had a bad game but some of the ballots had already been done.

I don't think it is the heisman that effects the way people play in the pros...I think that it is the voters who give the heisman to the person who can't do anything in the pros...they always give it to a white pocket-passing QB who doesn't have a strong enough arm to make it in the pros and who is not fast enough to be a scrambler...ERIC CROUCH! I agree with 4 him...It should go to the best player...not the player who is the leader of the best team
The winner ain't always the one with the fastest car....it's the one who refuses to lose!
