Any team returning 4 linemen on a team that averaged 6 ypc and 242 ypg on the ground while throwing an average of only 10 times per game during a championship season should not plan on airing it out.

I meant the team of 04 which gois coached. and yes they had a lot of talent on the team n no coaching. Blue, Kessler, Spaugy, Krouse, McCellend, and 1,000 yrd rusher Rex. Went 6-3 . That team had a lot of talent and had the record because of the players, gois had very little impact on that. What player are you talking about that was 5'6 145? I'm not blaming the coaches im just saying he didnt do anything when he was there (gois) and acurio even tho his record doesnt show was a hell of an improvement. Parents complain and its a joke. "dont want there kid worked to hard" but complain when the team gets killed? doesnt make sense at all. keep your mouth shut and let the coaches work the hell out of em. They need a coach that isnt influenced by outside bs and dumb parents complaing about stuff they have no clue about. Im not blaming acurio for anything for the record, his system he put in works and the first year he was there the conditioning no one in the area conditioned like that, but the record doesnt show that and then he changed in and toned it down cuz few kids quit n parents complained?

I love it when parents think their kids have talent. Name me two kids on Gois' s last team at Ferndale that had any level of talent beyond average. Bottom line...one football player, and he was 5'6" and weighed about 145 lbs! Please don't blame the coaches because you don't have any talent...and also don't assume because a kid is big he has talent either. I heard one of those kids parents in Murphy's one night complaining that Ferndale had "all this talent' and Gois couln't win with them....HUH? What talent?

Like I said typical Ferndale parent stuff. One year Gois doesn't work them hard enough and the next year Acurio works them too hard!!!
Sports at my Alma Mater are a joke and a disgrace right now.

BTW I can only assume we will be seeing Joe in his McCort clothing roaming the sidelines this year.

The bigger question is who will be dumb enough to take over the reigns at Ferndale? I mean we all know its only a matter of time until someone hurts little Johnny's feelings and his momy goes running to the school board.

My brother was on that team and i can tell you that it was the lineman that made that team good, they had the best size out of any team in the westpac and they easily could of hung with any lhac team trust me. and goisovich was a terrible coach who knew of nothing, it was the line that carried the team and eric blue was one of the best QB's in the whole area

Now baseball not to take anything at all away from that team, but you could never convince me that they could hang with the LHAC. Now in 2004 there were probably some teams, the C.H. and Somersets of the world, they could've hung with but not the likes of McCort, F.H., J-town, and such.

Dirt, that '04 team COULD NOT have hung with ever team in the LHAC, if theres one thing that this years D6 A Championship should've proved its how far the West Pac is from the LHAC and this years Portage team was much much better then the '04 Ferndale team. And to blame it on coaching is idiotic.
