McCort - Bellwood winner..legit shot at Hershey

The teams in that part of the bracket just aren't anything great. I know S. Columbia is in there, but I really don't think they are anything near what they were a few years ago. The winner of the game likely gets Upper Daughin.

I really think that the D6 winner in class A has a very real shot of getting to Hershey.

I agree with this statement. Clairton/Rochy, although athletic, aren't fabulous teams. The east (other than SCA) is generally weak in class A.

Coach, have to agree with you that the winner will have a great shot at making it all the way. That being said, I really like Millersburg for the D3 Champs this week. Don't let their record fool you. They smacked around Upper Dauphin 26-6 when they first met, and just beat Steelton this past weekend.

Southern Columbia has come on strong the past few weeks, and took Selinsgrove to the brink earlier this season. I wouldn't be surprised at all if they made it to the semifinals with 4 losses.

The following weekend, the 6A champ plays the 3A champ at Hershey Stadium.

I also like Millersburg as the Dist 3 champion and seeing them winning . They really got after UDA a bout a month ago and I look for the same outcome. Southern Columbia struggled on and off until the 7th game of the season and they are playing their best ball right now. Whoever wins the Dist 6A and Dist 3 A matchup has a great shot of getting to Hershey. BUT, don't count out Southern Columbia as I really like how they are playing right now.

How can you make a statement that somebody will definitely make it to Hershey? Do you all know something that everyone else doesn't? McCort SHOULD make the state finals every year. When they don't.......THEN IT IS THE COACH! You guys get on Portage for being a proud group of fans with a proud coach. At least teams like Portage and Bellwood do it with kids in their district.

Anything less than the state finals for any team that can control it's enrollment and pick and choose it's athletes is a season failed. Bishop Carroll's coach should be fired along with Guilfoyle's. Honestly if we're going to bash Gouse.....why not Carroll and Guilfoyle? At least Gouse only plays with kids that live in Portage, oh and Lily too....and does a nice job of it!

The first poster said the winner has a legit shot at it and another poster said definitely because it is CERTAIN. Read the post before going off on someone man. The winner of the BA vs BM game will travel to Hershey NEXT WEEK for their next game.

I've said all year long the winner of D6 A had a great shot at getting to the state title game, and I'm certainly not backing down now. If you asked me my honest opinion I'd tell you the winner of McCort/Bellwood will play the winner of WPIAL/Farrell game for all the marbles December 18th.
