Is there a reason why this team just passes the ball around until the clock is about to expire and then someone throws the ball up like a 10 year old?

Am I being irrational when I say that a coach's responsibility is to take what he has available and form a way to win? All I am asking for is 1 win.

First of all, let's drop the last two words of this four word topic. Now, is it Eddie's game plan to slow down the game by waiting so long into the shot clock to launch one? That's O.K., but not when you're LOSING.

I believe if one happened to watch the game on ESPN or watched it live they would be able to tell quite easy that it was Mich St. defense that was the problem, not Eddie's play calling. PSU tied the game and then couldn't buy a bucket. Or were forced to take bad shots. That is a credit to Mich St defense not Eddie's play calling.

Defense? MSU was LOSING by 2 with 12 and a half minutes to play. Then PSU went over 6 minutes without scoring a point on a 13-0 MSU run. You're gonna tell everyone that it was the MSU DEFENSE that did it? Where was that defense for the other 34 minutes?

Maybe they decided to start playing at that point. If you played the game you know it is a game of runs and often times teams "wake up" at certain times during the game. Read the Altoona Mirror or any transcript of Izzo's post game interview.. He said it was the defense that locked down PSU.

PSU tried many times calling plays in that time frame and couldnt execute...not because of Eddie, but because MSU's defense. Many times they pulled the ball out and set up another play, but to no avail.

Im not going to go on and on and argue because it's obvious we watched two different games.

I don't know? PSU shot 41% from the field (without a legitimate BIG man making peep shots, and including that 6 minute drought), and made 11 3-pointers. Guess you could call that defense, right?

This has nothing to do with Michigan State. It could have been the Knicks or Purchase Line out there, it doesn't matter who Penn State plays.

Apparently Eddie did something right for a while to keep the game close and actually take the lead for a brief period of time.

So tell me how psu was able to do this and take the lead. Did they run and gun and or do what they have been doing?

Im not taking up for Eddie, but to say MSU 's defense wasnt the reason for the drought is ludicris (sp).

PSU has ONE and ONLY ONE legitimate scorer in Battle. What is psu to do when they have no one else as a scoring threat. That is not in game coaching. Maybe recruiting. But if you watched the game you cant be serious in thinking Eddie was purposely passing the ball around near the end of the game or during that drought. They were trying very hard to run plays but could not execute or get a good shot because of the defense.

Keep in mind that PSU was in striking distance throughout the game with Eddies game plan every one is criticizing.
