Gunner, it's an accomplishment to score 1000 in a career and Brian has done it and is only a little less than halfway into his Junior year.

Amen. The kid should go down as one of the greatest players in Ridge basketball history. And unless I'm mistaken, the best is yet ahead. Nobody denies he's a wonderful offensive player. I would argue that he is as fundamentally sound as anyone in the tri-county area. And when he wants to, he can be an exceptionally strong defensive player, though sometimes I think the demands made on him to be a dominant scorer make it difficult for him to concentrate on defense. If he rededicates himself to this phase of his game, the rest of the season could be interesting. At any rate, scoring 1000 points is quite an achievement, though I think Brian is the type of kid who would gladly give up personal accolades for team success.

1000 points is a great accomplishment but when you are the only thing your whole team has......honestly when he scores over half of the points for the entire team every game if u dont have 1000 points quickly then there is something wrong!

I would suggest that every high school player who scores 1000 points is the major focus of their team's offense -- unless that team averages 100 points a game.
