question about the BC/PM game
question about the BC/PM game
On the long pass the PM hit in the 4th quarter, did PM break the huddle with 10 guys and the receiver jump off the sidelines on to the field just prior to the ball being snapped.
Re: question about the BC/PM game
Dude pay attention to the game, it was 11 men on the snap. There was no sideline sub

It was a clean play, it didnt change the outcome of the game anyway so it doesnt really matter

Re: question about the BC/PM game
if this happened with one of the bishops people would b*tch up a storm, and everyone knows they would.

Re: question about the BC/PM game
Can't you have only 10 in the huddle????? I thought you couldn't break the huddle with 12 and have one of them run off the field before the snap.

Re: question about the BC/PM game
Yes you can have 10 in the huddle, however you can run a player on the field if he isin't in the huddle. And you may not bring anyone on the field after a play starts. They did have 11 on the field, it was a good play.
Re: question about the BC/PM game
Woninthetrences is correct, breaking the huddle with ten has no signifigance, what if they ran no huddle...the rule is the player who came on late has to be momentarily inside the numbers or nine yard mark (if there are no numbers on the field) prior to the snap. As far as breaking the huddle with 12 that in itself is NOT a penalty. A team can legally break the huddle with 12 men, if say a substitue comes in late, the replaced player has 3 seconds to start to leave the field so technically on a late sub teams can break with 12 with no substitution penalty. Even more technical the team does not have to break the huddle with 12 if the three seconds has expired the referee could call a illegal substitution before the huddle breaks.

They broke the huddle with 11...I don't know how anyone got 10? How did this convo start? I was sitting on the PM side and there were no people subbing in late.
