I beg to differ sir, according to information on here one recent transfer to McCort didn't even attend school the last few months! I wouldn't call that a higher standard!woninthetrenches wrote: In private schools all kids are held to a high educational standard.

When I was in high school i knew a few kids who did that, Heck after football season i had a study hall, 1 class then left for work. I went to a public, and that isint the end of what goes on of the kids.

Hahaha...
The ULTIMATE BOTTOM LINE is that the majority of PRIVATE SCHOOLS are religious-based institutions. Among the lessons they claim to teach are higher standards and higher values. Whether it be morals, academics, or sports, they preach how they do everything according to a HIGHER STANDARD.
However, when it comes to sports, they PLAY AS LOW AS THEY CAN, as long as they are WITHIN THE RULES. While constantly preaching higher moral and ethical values, they do the opposite. They don't aspire to a higher value system and play up against better competition. But as we see everyday, they gloat about beating the smallest single A schools, and talk as much smack as anyone else. And they always defend their existence by virtue of their freedom to choose a school that provides in many cases a religious-based education that is not only better academically, but also has other high moral and ethical standards as well.
So fellas, the way I see it, there are two ways to ways to silence all of the critics:
1. Volunteer to play your playoffs in a PRIVATE SCHOOL BRACKET. AAAA schools don't play A schools in the playoffs, so why do PRIVATES play them?
2. Or just acknowledge that the higher standard would be to move up in classification. If you win umpteen district titles in the small divisions, shouldn't your moral compass be telling you that its time to move up and challenge yourselves??? But then again, technically, until you win the big one, you still have work to do. At the end of the day both BC in 2003 and BM in 2009 eventually got beaten by a little single A school.

You know makes me laugh people out east people b&^tch about Southern Columbia about how they get these kids from the local vo-tech from other schools and doesn't count towards their numbers. People bend the rules everywhere just not private schools.

No you just want them to be out so it is easier for your school to win one. Hey I'm not saying it is fair that kids that would be the toast of their school district go to mccort or BC. How should Mccort play up in a catholic seperate system when BC and BM normally have smaller schools than most the teams in the region? Either the comp in the Region has become terrible or your school has never been that good. All the good teams in the region could care less about Mccort, BC, or guilfoyle mainly because they believe year in and year out that they have their own talent to boast about. I bet the ppl complaining about BC and Mccort are traditional bottom dwellers or they are from Heritage or WestPac conferences. When I was in HS no one was scared to play Mccort and they didn't make excuses if they didn't win the contest. But i guess losers only know one way. I mean if it wasn't BC or BM winning it every year who would win the single A title in D6? Portage, Winber, Maybe CT?? Well I for one am glad that a paper champion isn't getting put into the state playoff system every year because I like that recent state contenders are homegrown. Lets get real for any of those teams (Portage, Winber, CT etc.) to be a contender state wide they would have to produce the best Senior class and team in their school's history or the best team in 10-20yrs. So it just isn't in the cards anyway b/c if they did produce that they would be state contenders and defeat the likes of BM or BC. So basically taking away BM and BC will give overrated mediocre Westpac teams a chance to be recognized. And what is the point of that knowing they are going to get smashed as soon as the D6 title game is complete.lol. That just makes the football in D6 look terrible. When really it is the Westpac and Heritage conferences that are below par when it comes to legimate contenders.say_oww wrote:Hahaha...

Haha Sub Par conferences..you must be really old oldcollegecoach 8) . keep making things up if it makes you feel good, when you can draw from 5 districts, not have to take into consideration their enrollments, I hope you can compete.. period. If you are a public school you can also take in students from 5 other districts, however you will end up playing AAAA... thats a fact. And by the way, there have been some excellent single A teams in those sub par conferences you mentioned
Re: Holy Name/Bishop Carroll
Suckerfish- Who are these teams! I can think of only one. Bellwood.
