Re: Food for thought
And if not for penalties, a blocked FG, and turnovers. That game could have had a much different ending. Was not a fun way to have my playing career end. Also from 2009, Rochester scored with less than a minute to go and went for 2 and the win. Again if that goes to overtime, then who knows. But outside of those two games, it's been pure domination by Clairton for 3 years, it's truly remarkable what they have done.

Re: Food for thought
The 2009 Farrell game was either 7-6 or 7-7 in fourth when Clairton returned a fumble for a TD. Also they were down to Riverside 24-0 in the state final in 2010.
Re: Food for thought
It wasn't penalties, blocked field goals or turnovers that lost the 2009 game for McCort against Clairton. It was the fact that they did not stay overnight in Hershey the night before the game. An administration blunder to say the least. How can any team play their best when they get up at 5AM, then head to their school, spend 3 hours on a bus, then sit around for an hour or two outside Hershey Stadium before warming up and then playing in the state championship? Colossal mistake.

Clairton was a good team that year, but maybe the weakest Clairton team during the run. McCort had their chance and blew great field possession all day. Also McCort couldn't pass, Clairton didnt have to respect it.

We did the exact samething for the Milelrsburg game that year, also played at Hershey, and we won easily.El-Moldo wrote:It wasn't penalties, blocked field goals or turnovers that lost the 2009 game for McCort against Clairton. So you're comparing Millersburg to Clairton?? Hey, since BM is sooooo money orientated, at least the main thing is that the school saved a couple of bucks in hotel bills and in giving the players a few subs to eat on the bus instead of a good breakfast in a restaurant before the game.

Is there evidence to a hotel helping a team? What did Tyrone do last season?
