Rumor has it or at least the perception was, that when Ridge was in the league with the smaller county schools in the early going they always carried this air of superiority ...We'll be in the league in this sport... but if something happens that will be more to our liking in another we will change our schedule if we want and when we want, and do what we want, when we want to do it....
not sure if there is any truth in that or not, but it sounds like a good story.

Who should Northern Bedford schedule in the future? Maybe they can get a home/away with both Altoona and Hollidaysburg. :-B
Why?

why are we still talking about ridge? You know where I think they should play. I'll tell you where. Someplace warm. A place where the beer flows like wine. Where beautiful women instinctively flock like the salmon of Capistrano. I'm talking about a little place called Aspen #lloydchristmas

NBC doesn't need to explain nor apologize for anything. They have a fine program and fine coaches. The local leagues are the local leagues! Comparing them from year to year is foolish. It is HS football, which means new faces for the most part from season to season. Teams at the top now, may find themselves in the basement next year. I personally believe Class "A" schools should play Class "A" schools, Class "AA" play Class "AA" etc... etc... etc... Oh wait! School administrators are involved in District Committees and League administration. Enough said.

I agree that schools should play other schools in their classification. That could lead to some interesting out of conference games.
