WPIAL,

I think we all know what happened at Penn State and I'm sure everyone on this board has formed their own opinion of what went on. I think we all can agree that the acts done were sick and anyone that had any enabling of the acts should be prosecuted. I don't understand why you keep bringing it up. This is a thread about Pitt spring football.

If your new avenue is going to attack the efforts if Thon, go ahead. Write your check to Pittsburgh Children's Hospital, as long as it gets to childhood cancer treatment that is fine by me.

There's word out there that McQueary bet on PSU football games.

Your thoughts?

Years ago Head Roadie suggested an exhibition game and I think that would really generate excitement nationally. If PSU were to play against Syracuse as an example that would be better than the current format.

You'd think that PSU would want transparency after 50+ years of outright LIES. Instead, the opposite is happening with the Thon. Yet another PSU sham.

I don't blame the students. they've been brainwashed like everyone else in Camelot who believe that Paterknew will rise from the dead someday, and they actually think they're raising money to help kids with cancer when in reality they don't even know where the money goes.

I will write my donation checks to Children's Hospital in PGH, and continue to place a copy of this article in the coffee cans of the pledges who run through traffic for donations.
You're a sad aging man.

I like that idea but I think the NCAA could take it one step further. Most college baseball teams have "Fall Ball" of some sort. In CFB, spring practice is 15 days or basically 2 weeks. Allow colleges to have 2 exhibition games in the spring but only 1 of the games is allowed to be at home. So it doesn't turn into a "game" create a separate set of rules including:

-No one player can play more than 30 snaps
-No contact to the QB
-Limits on blitzing
-Limits on fielding kickoffs and punt returns

Under this set up, for instance, 4 local schools can create a schedule similar to this:

Exhibition week 1: Penn State at Temple, Pitt at West Virginia
Exhibition week 2: West Virginia at Penn State, Temple at Pitt

Think of the money this will create for the universities. The spring schedule wouldn't need to be extended and it would give fans 2 chances to see their team play in the Spring.
