Any good underclassmen?

Post by DragonsNation00 »

Are there any underclassmen who have really stepped up to the challenge and have played well so far this season?

I watched Somerset @ FH and some young kids really standout to me. Heiple and Barnes are lethal and we will be seeing a lot of them this and next season. They have a few junior starters on both sides of the ball. Wideouts are both juniors and they have two sophomore lineman who are impressive. On the defensive side they have great underclassmen defensive backs.

Hemminger, laue, holto, hause, and gibson are good too and would start on most teams. 3 of these kids are lineman to add to the good sophomores that already start. That # 24 for forest hills is good for a freshman. That is a good 2ndary!

Take a look at Homer Centers #7 Johnny Ireland. The kids a junior, who hasn't really seen much time at all as a freshman or sophomore. Keep your eye on him, he is going to cause a lot of teams in the Heritage and D6 headaches trying to cover him. Plays pretty solid on the defensive side of the ball as well.

Purchase Line has a 6'2 Freshman WR named Shamar Campbell that was giving Ligonier some serious problems. He also returns kicks and punts and plays safety on defense. He threw a pass for a 30 something yard completion and ran the ball some as well.

What I've seen so far in our games for underclassmen

Burch is a solid Qb for Bellwood very calm under pressure
Hoenstein and Benton both played well for Central. They have a young line with I think 3 sophomores starting, they will be good with more experience.

Tyrone who is driven by seniors at the skill positions but the line is the true strength of the team
Juniors Reeder and Bonsell Sophomores Pannebaker and Railing sandwich a senior at center to make one of the better lines Tyrone has had. 3 are returning starters. Don't take my word for it ask Bellwood and Central

The Heritage has a few nice underclassmen....Hunter Rice from PL is a nice two way ball player, he plays fullback and middle linebacker....Collin Smith from Ligonier is also a real nice player, quarterback and safety...Jesse Beacker from United looks to be on the rise, quarterback and corner...Parrish from Ligonier is very good at Middle Linebacker and Guard too....all 4 of these players are only Sophomores....Penns Manor has Mumau, Dumm and Brackett that are skill guys that are very solid...they are Juniors....

The incredible part is the teams not bad. I've seen it a couple times before, but in the cases before, those teams really struggled being that young. Bright future there.

Let me guess all of those kids from Ligonier run a 4.2 40 yard dash.
