I admit all these comments about Bailey amuse me. If only these youngsters could have seen him earlier in his career. He has mellowed so much the last five years or so.

1st off, congrats to Everett, they showed no quit, and battled tough, and pulled off the win. The ref did blow his whistle, and the call, and IMO the momentum shifted, and what had been an Everett crowd looking for something positive just went nuts. Not saying Tussey would have won....but a free basket, and not to correct your mistake, the ref should hang up his whistle forever.
Looking back, I realize why Koontz hired just two refs...he got to play the part of the third. His being on the court was absurd. Thats why they pay the refs....and the asst AD. He should have been nowhere near the court. As to the behavior of Bailey, everyone has failed to mention that the Warrior bench got and early "T". And Everett, storming the court just showed that beating Tussey every few years is a highlight... thought for a moment they may cut down the nets also. [/b]

why everett fans reacted with such excitement was probably just to rub it in the tussey fans faces, immature yes, but tussey would have done the same im sure. but the girls tussey team made a valiant effort to save face by circling the parking lot yelling "what about last nite" bailey was out of hand...any other coach would have been discharged and i think we all know that.

koontz and waltman had to attempt to calm bailey down since the refs weren't going to do anything about it. perhaps he only hired two because there is no use in having 3 clueless refs out on the floor.

the technical foul everett's coach received was for simply saying "You're killing me" not getting up off the bench cursing, screaming, and making obscene gestures.

Lefty, I like your point about having three clueless refs, but disagree with Koontz going on the floor. No matter how bad, let the refs run the game. Things will get out of control in a hurry if every AD starts helping "calm things". I agree, Bailey and Husick would have both been tossed under normal circumstances, but I think the guy knew he made such a huge error he did not know what to do. I believe tha Koontz going on the floor left him slink away, without having to call the "T", and that got him off the hook. If you recall he quickly retreated to the baseline and remained there. Was not sure what was said on the Everett bench, but if it was just what you claim that guy had some thin skin and should just so senior olympic games.

yea the coach on the bench definately for the T for saying "your killing me" but when asked about it the ref replied "im sick of this mans comments and gestures"

i think koontz had every right to go out there, the ref was doing nothing about it. someone had to, things could have easily gotten further out of hand and it's his job to make sure things don't. regardless the call, no coach should have an outburst like that, then after everything calmed down a bit Bailey expressed his disapproval to the ref by a middle finger and an F* you...<uncalled for

Geeze sounds like this was quite the interesting game...

It sounds like the ref's werent controling the game very well, and they should have been, thats part of their job. Someone had to step in or who knows what would have happened...could have been interesting! But I think Koontz, being the AD, had every right to try to calm the coaches (sounds like mostly Bailey) down...

Lefty, the middle finger incident was not toward the "clueless" official. It was toward one of your vailiant heroes Waltman. The guy who was standing about 15 feet from the ref who was making a motion to coach Bailey with his index finger Like come get me.

Surely enough this is the beginning of the war, not the end. More of the battle has yet to come. Everett travels down to Tussey for their last game of the season.

Ah, then i understand the middle finger, but still very disrespectful and quite immature coming from a coach a lot of people highly respect.

and when Everett does travel down to Tussey...ALL HELL WILL BREAK LOSE, IT'S GOING TO BE THE BEST GAME TO WRAP UP THE SEASON WITH.

oh and about the tussey mt girls team circleing the parking lot....that was just out of pride - I guess they had to make some point of victory for the night.
