I disagree with a good portion of your post, but again it comes down to taste and perception.

I personally just find the NBA boring to watch compared to a good college game or even a good high school game. Just my opinion.

Not wanting to offend, but I can't even sit thru an NBA game start to finish. Enjoy high school and march madness.

Pitt got off to a good start this year by destroying Niagara last night 78-45. Pitt jumped out to such an early lead, they pretty much just had to coast from then on out.

Four players went into double digit scoring, and that's the type of team I expect. Different guys stepping up each game.

Some notable performances.

Mike Young 7 points 7 rebounds.
Jamel Artis 14 points 4 rebound 4 assists
Chris Jones 10 points
James Robinson 8 points 7 assists 1 turnover
Sheldon Jeter 7 points 3 rebounds
Cam Johnson 11 points
Josh Newkirk 12 points 5 assists.

THE Bis news of course, is Durand Johnson being suspended for the year. No reason given, but some are hinting it had academic implications. I would have just made him run some stairs at the Pete, but I guess that doesn't fly anymore.

Next up, Samford on Sunday 1:00.

Not sure how good Cincinnati is supposed to be this year but they defeated Saint Francis last night 52 - 37.

Penn State defeated Morgan State 61 - 48 last night as well.

Looks like PSU has the same problems as years past. Last night the guards scored 48 of the 61 points. Of the others, Brandon Taylor had 4, Ross Travis had 2, Donovan Jack had 3, and Jordan Dickerson had 4.

Saw also that Pitt struggled mightily with Samford at home winning 63 - 56. Now I don't know much about Samford and they might be a really good mid major, however I saw they lost to Purdue 80 - 40 in their previous game. So Pitt seems to have some improving to get working on in hindsight.

Not sure what comparing scores means. Listened to the first couple of minutes of the Pitt game in the car. Their starting line-up had 3 true sophomores and 2 juniors. They'll need some leadership from somebody. Not exactly sure how the whole game went. I hear PSU beat Fordham by 19.
