Both teams are RED HOT. It's Power vs. Speed. Tyrone is the legend of D6-AA and Mount Union is the new kid on the block with something to prove. Smack talk ALL week. This is a recipe for either a BLOWOUT or a CLASSIC!!! I can't wait!!! HAHAHAHAHA

I got a good laugh out of it myself as well hahahaha hey if they are that bold to post something like that, then they have to be that bold to back it up on the field. That's all

Stater32, what do you mean "what Tyrone used to be"? They just played in a state final game 3 years ago. The last time I checked that wasn't long ago in a galaxy far far away, that's pretty recent and they have played in the post season for 20 straight years, that streak is almost old enough to buy you a beer after the game Saturday night. In no way should MU bow down but to say "what Tyrone used to be" as if the fans are talking about a solo title in '84, makes you sound like you have a bit of a chapped backside.

The picture of Loner is something fun in my opinion. I'm sure there is the same kind of thing is going around Tyrone. That's what's great about high school sports and school spirit, everyone pulling together to show support and excitement.

Tyrone fans always wanna talk about Franco, he is a great coach but he isn't their coach anymore. So when I say "use to be" it's referring to a Franco led Tyrone team. They just aren't them anymore. That 2011 year was under him. That's what I'm saying.

Oh we realized that the last 2 years. Believe me.
This is a new hybrid and everyone is quite happy with it.
I'm just making one last statement. My hats off to Matt Young and his team, they are where they belong. On the rug, playing for gold. I remember the mid 90's and everyone getting caught up in the moment. There's nothing wrong with that. That's part of the greatness of high school sports. Good luck to both teams and may the winner play in. December.

I thought that was Bill Cosby when he played for Temple. :))

In all fairness, Tyrone fans haven't really had many years to talk about a non-Franco coached team. They surely cannot discuss the past success of a Jason Wilson coached team because it didn't exist. I understand your point and you're right, the Franco Era is over and this isn't a Franco coached team but in a lot of ways it is and they ways that it isn't seem to work just fine for them.

I'm not trying to stir the pot just playing a little devil's advocate, stater. I really hope that this game is the beginning of two great coaching careers in D6 and whichever team wins deserves it because it is going to be a really hard fought game and win or lose, both teams will know they were in a battle when they wake up Sunday morning.

Here's to D6 and to what will hopefully become a great rivalry between two deserving teams.
