LOL.....
And you don't want to be hit with the R word.

:-?
Was that for me? I really don't care if speaking the truth leads to that generalization or not.

It was stated as a perception in the general public (which I think is the reason more is not being made of this story), not something that I was concerned about on a messageboard, lol.

Simple fact is most of the team, and the Coach (most disturbing) acted like thugs, and hopefully will pay the price. Just find it curious that more media outlets didn't pick this up.

Brawls between high school teams oftentimes don't get much media attention. The game was played in front of how many fans?

You ask what would have happened if the roles were reversed. What is your honest answer. Mine is that it would have made no difference. In fact I bet fewer people would be calling for a one or two year ban. I've been to two games in my life that have featured ugly brawls. No one was suspended. No one faced criminal charges.

I think it used to be called making a mountain out of a mole hill.

I respect your opinion, but between throwing of the helmets, trashing the locker room, and the Coach acting like an idiot (without even mentioning the in-game issues)-----I think this is deserving of a full punishment, not just brush it under the carpet when Charlie Batch shows up to have them shake hands.

Just a quick note, a semi-pro player (admittedly not HS football) was brought up on charges for the same infraction when he threw his helmet. I forget the actual charge, but something in the sense that it was used as a weapon or something. Dude was banned for life in addition to criminal charges. Wonder what would be said if that helmet hit a fan, player, cheerleader, etc?

And again, I think you want full punishment because the offending team consisted of mostly big scary black kids.

Yep...that's it. Has nothing to do with a helmet being used as a weapon. Keep rationalizing your thoughts based from race---and not actions of the players.

Using the helmet as a weapon is a personal foul punishable by a 15 yard penalty or an ejection. An ejection carries with it a one game suspension.

I don't understand how/why race is even being brought up. Only person remotely bringing up race is you boxer...

Look, I completely understand how/why people think that Clairton should be punished to the fullest extent. Even I think there should be punishment here. Newton tells me that for every action there's a reaction. It's unfortunate a couple of idiots did what they did. What bothers me is when people like boxer attempts to claim that he could see this coming and this isn't some isolated event.

Unfortunately we are all living in an age where common sense no longer prevails, and social media has become a weapon to advance agendas. I think we should all do our selves a favor, and set an example on how to retract from using race as a driver for this discussion. Opinions are like butts, everyone has em
