AAA Sub-Region (District 5.6,8,9) Week 5 Rankings
1. Clearfield 3-1 Defeated Huntingdon 50-23 Next up: @ Brockway Previous: # 7
Clearfield hung 50 points on a pretty talented Huntingdon team last week. The junior duo of Seth Caldwell and Ryan Lezzer are an electric combo on offense. The scoreboard should light up a good bit on Friday as Clearfield travels to a historically pretty good class A team, Brockway.
2. Somerset 3-1 Defeated Richland 61-24 Next up: @ Johnstown Previous: #2
Somerset handled Richland pretty easily on Friday. The Golden Eagles have a huge game on Friday as they head to Trojan Stadium to take on Johnstown.
3. University Prep 3-1 Defeated Perry 28-22 Next up: @ Mars Previous: #4
University Prep moved to 3-1 after hanging on to beat Perry by 6. They will step out of conference play to play 3-1 Mars of the WPIAL.
4. Johnstown 3-1 Lost to Bedford 35-8 Next up: Somerset Previous: #3
Johnstown had a rough time on the road Friday, as they could not get things going against Bedford. The Trojans will look to rebound on Friday against Somerset in one of the biggest games of the year in the LHAC.
5. Punxsutawney 2-2 Lost to Union 20-14 Next up: @ Dubois Previous: #5
The Chucks could not overcome Union and they dropped to 2-2 on the year. Punxsy has a tough one on Friday as they have to play high-scoring Dubois on the road.
6. Bellefonte 1-3 Lost to John Marshall 28-17 Next up: Tyrone Previous: #6
Bellefonte hung with John Marshall (WV) but ultimatley lost 28-17 and slid to 1-3. The Red Raiders have a big home game with Tyrone invading Bellefonte.
7. Bradford 0-4 Lost to Olean 35-17 Next up: @ Erie Central Tech Previous: #7
Bradford still is in search of their first win, and it won't be easy this week as they travel to Erie to play 3-1 Central Tech.
